Male Hormone Profile | Pathology

$350.00

The Male Hormone Profile measures the body’s levels of key hormones such as testosterone and androgen. These hormones are vital to male functioning and wellbeing as deficiencies can lead to a range of adverse health conditions.

Description

DESCRIPTION

The ageing male can experience up to a 10% decline in testosterone every decade, from age 30 onwards. This decrease of both testosterone and androgen is called androgen deficiency of the ageing male (ADAM) and can contribute to an increase in fat mass and reduction in bone mineral density, muscle mass and strength. Common signs of ADAM also include erectile dysfunction and psychological indicators such as altered cognition, memory, mood and energy.

Testing male hormone levels is therefore important in identifying deficiencies or abnormalities while highlighting a need for hormone treatment. The Male Hormone Profile is a baseline measurement for uncovering and resolving common health issues, and is conducted with a simple and non-invasive saliva test.
