Description

DESCRIPTION

This thorough assessment will measure female hormones and their relationship with adrenal stress. Through a simple saliva sample, this test can effectively measure levels of hormones such as estrogen, progesterone and testosterone. Paired with an Adrenocortex Stress Profile, these tests offer an extensive insight into female health and functioning.

Hormones can not only determine a woman’s reproductive health, but play an important role in mood and energy levels. Especially during mid-life and approaching menopause, hormone imbalances become more likely and pose a threat to a female’s state of wellbeing. Hormone imbalances are often more than one depleted hormone and can involve entire hormone systems and processes. Paired with an Adrenocortex Stress Profile, this assessment can capture the body’s stress and hormone levels, potentially outlining any correlations between the two.

An Adrenocortex Stress Profile draws on secretory IgA levels and the stress hormones cortisol and DHEA to help detect symptoms of adrenal fatigue. The body’s two adrenal glands are located above the kidneys and are integral to the endocrine (hormonal) system. Stress levels can therefore contribute to hormone function and disturb the essential balance.
