DESCRIPTION

Zinc is required for the activity of over 300 enzymes and contributes to major metabolic pathways, making it crucial to healthy immune function. Zinc has an inverse relationship with copper, meaning that an ideal balance leaves one mineral’s levels high while the other’s levels are low. Although copper is needed for blood vessel growth and wound healing, above average levels can be toxic. 

Ceruloplasmin is an enzyme which contains copper, and contributes to the body’s iron metabolism. Measuring this enzyme can offer a more accurate measurement of the body’s copper levels.

Step 2: Pathology assessment

Once your samples are received by the lab they will be assessed. The turnaround time for results is 7 – 10 business days but please be aware laboratory times may vary and you may experience a delay in results.

Step 3: Medical Team review results

Once your confidential results have been sent to the medical team for review, they will call you to discuss your results and appropriate treatment options moving forward.

Step 4: Results sent to the patient

Finally, a copy of your results will be sent through to you for your reference.
